Home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, Eravikulam is Kerala’s first national park and one of Munnar’s top attractions. The park is also the only place in the world where the rare Neelakurinji flowers bloom once every 12 years. A must-visit for wildlife lovers and nature photographers.
Munnar is blessed with scenic waterfalls like Attukal, Lakkam, and Nyayamakad, especially active during monsoon and post-monsoon. These are perfect for picnics, quick treks, or simply soaking in the sound of nature. Each fall is surrounded by dense greenery and untouched landscapes.

Take a guided walk through Munnar’s spice plantations to learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, and vanilla farming. Most gardens offer plantation tours where you can buy fresh spices directly from the growers—perfect for foodies and culture lovers.
Beyond sightseeing, try river-side camping, bamboo rafting, or Jeep safaris into the hills. Don’t miss experiencing local culture through Kathakali shows, tribal village visits, or shopping for handmade chocolates, woollens, and essential oils at the Munnar market.
